NONNA CATERINA authentic handmade Italian food, delivered to your door.
We deliver our heat-at-home three course suppers every Friday. They can be enjoyed straight away, over the weekend or can be frozen for later in the week. Over the last 7 years we have built a loyal base of customers, both private and among luxury B&B’s, because of the high quality of our food. We make everything from scratch, insisting upon the very best local produce and free range eggs & meats, essential to the Italian way of cooking and the way our nonna taught us. Orders taken from Sunday-Tuesday for Friday delivery.
NONNA CATERINA was named after our Calabrian Nonna and her enormous love of cooking for her family. She was often to be found in her kitchen at 6am already preparing lunch for us all. To her we owe our passion for regional Italian home cooking and although our food is considered ‘restaurant quality’ we prefer to think of it as being in the real Italian tradition of ‘casareccio’ and in keeping with the Italian born Slow Food Movement. This is why our menu is slightly different week by week, as we source the best local and seasonal finds.

NONNA CATERINA began our food journey in the UK when we moved to Hay-on-Wye eight years ago, from the far south of Italy. We began making for the locals the kinds of Italian foods we were used to eating every day and our little business grew from there. Many of those customers remain with us, choosing our food both for a weekend treat and for larger family gatherings. We do all the work, you simply have to warm & serve!
